I developed a love for photography while in high school. There were no courses in the field at my school at the time so I am initially self-taught. I studied photography at Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Fl as well as The Academy of Art College in San Francisco, CA. I have been working in this field for 9 years and for the past 4 years I have mainly devoted my photography to photographing children.

When a photography session is structured to allow children to be themselves the resulting portrait becomes a work of art. That is where my photography is unique. Through my lens I capture who your child truly is, the adorable mannerisms that make them individuals and so precious and remarkable to you. In addition to posed portraits I specialize in creative photography. This means I set up a scene and allow children to be themselves within that scene. For example, if you chose a garden scene for your 2 year old and they are busy grabbing and smelling every flower in sight an opportunity to capture a great “candid” photograph is created. The child is being curious and interacting with their environment, typical two-year-old behavior. If you choose an outdoor setting and your 6 month old is putting handfuls of grass in his or her mouth, the look on their face while doing so is priceless. Whether it is outdoor or a studio set up I create an environment in which children are comfortable enough to be themselves. I also spend the time needed to get to know your child or “warm” your child if they are shy or uncomfortable. Since I have been doing this for many years, I am confident that the results of my sessions are nothing other than extraordinary. In fact, I guarantee it. As a mother of two wonderful children myself, my passion for photography has grown immensely, I know how valuable those photographs are. They are milestones of memories captured through time. Lets face it, our little ones grow up so fast and that is why I focus on capturing the age, the stage of your child. I truly care about freezing those moments to last a lifetime. I know how important it is to capture a moment not just a pose! I love what I do and even more, I love the feeling that comes with creating and capturing these photographs for parents like you. It is so fulfilling to see the look on a parents face after they view the results of a session with me. I want my sessions to be an experience that you will look back on and feel the warmth and love that went into the photographs themselves. I look forward to working with you and your children.
